Live On The Avenue Weekends: San Anselmo Avenue is closed to vehicle traffic around 5pm every Friday and Saturday night (July 5-Sept 28) to provide a family friendly and safe pedestrian venue. The main “Creek Park Stage” is located behind Creekside, and Town Hall Plaza is home to the “Town Hall Stage” (directly across from Cucina restaurant. Music at both stages is concurrent and runs about 5:30/6:00PM until 8:30+ each night. Other than the BEALTES tribute night (July 27th, tickets on sale now benefitting the Town of San Anselmo Arts Commission)… all other shows are totally free. Restaurants are open along with several local merchants and retailers. This year, the street closure continues past “Tunstead” intersection down to Ross Avenue to include additional vendors and outdoor parklet dining at Valenti & Company Italian restaurant.
Parking is somewhat limited in San Anselmo, so rideshare, carpooling, Uber/Lyft, safe biking, and walking are encouraged. San Anselmo is a small town, so you’ll find it’s a short stroll regardless of where you eventually park. In addition to parking on Town streets, avenues (including Sir Francis Drake, Red Hill, and Greenfield Avenue), there are two viable Town parking lots: Magnolia Ave Parking Lot (EV Charging Available), and the Pine Street Parking Lot (across from Wells Fargo Bank).
