ELECTION DAY. Friends, things are going to change on November 5th; It will be the biggest polling turn out ever, the biggest news coverage globally in the world, it is going to be a media circus, with subsequent celebrations and riots. America could come unglued in certain states. The rest of the world will be watching this like an episode of Love Island. Either way, It’s an important day to vote. We encourage you to vote; it’s your right, unless you’re a convict. Anyway, Creekside will continue to remain NEUTRAL when it comes to politics. We are the place you come to get Away from the world, escape the problems of the day, to celebrate good food, friends, family, and community. Politics; left, right, up, down… are simply too charged and if we took a position, or endorsed a friend, or stood up for a ballot measure, we’re gonna piss off someone, we’d be marked, we’d set a precedent. Sp. we remain the DMZ of Marin. We are here to feed, entertain, and have a feel-good time.
On any given day at Creekside, you can be assured not to see local news, CNN, Bloomberg, Fox-this or NPR-that, nor will you see MMA or blood-sport type events; we find these…not appealing images to dine by and it’s not very family-friendly. We keep Creekside videos on as static “wallpaper” mostly, unless it’s a big local sport game, team, match, playoff or cup event (then we may turn the volume up and closed-captioning). We are not a sports bar, but we will show the “important” fun games. For our sporting enthusiasts, we recommend THE FLATIRON in San Rafael, Pond Farm Brewing and Tam Commons are often more sports-friendly, and you can always count on Matteucci’s as Ross Valley’s OG full bar.
That being said, Creekside will 100% NOT be showing any political returns on any front; presidential, local, etc, but we do want you to rock your vote. Vote FOR something, not against something… be the voice of positive changed. To help lube you up in a good mood, we are hosting an ALL DAY TAPROOM HAPPY HOUR. You can come in and vote to have a $5 craft beer or a $7 glass of California wine by the glass from 12 noon to 9pm, but you won’t be seeing polls, numbers, red, blue, etc. That being said, we hope you VOTE FOR CREEKSIDE in the upcoming Marin Independent Journal’s annual “Readers’ Choice Awards.
