Get Ready To Rumble THIS SATURDAY NIGHT as 11 (eleven) local bands go head to head for the first ever Battle Of The Bands, live in Creek Park starting at 4PM. Winning band gets $1000, a slot on this summer’s Live On The Avenue line-up, and a professional recording session!. Runner-up gets $500, Everyone else gets a showcase in the sun and the memory of a lifetime, and maybe some pizza. Participating bands are from local high schools throughout the county, so this should be an EPIC evening downtown. Buckle Up. Bands listed below.
The Town of San Anselmo in collaboration with the San Anselmo Arts Commission has lined serious local talent joining the judge panel: Our good friend Johnny Colla of Huey Lewis and The News, Craig Bartock of Heart, Mark Nelson of Walking Mirrors (Live on the Avenue Rockstar Sponsor), Paul Liberatore, Marin IJ Rock Columnist, and Eileen Burke, Mayor of San Anselmo. Pat Townsley of Creekside Pizza will be the Emcee of the evening. Don’t miss this great community event! Show starts at 4PM. Public transit, ride sharing, walking, and biking recommended.
